AI extracts the places
Blendit watches the reel so you don't have to scrub through it. It reads the caption, the on-screen text, and the spoken audio, identifies each real venue, geocodes it, and drops it on your shared map — grouped by the reel it came from, so you always have the source.

Which platforms does Blendit support?
TikTok and Instagram Reels today, plus photo carousels and regular photo posts. YouTube Shorts is on the roadmap. If a link has a place in it, we want it.
What does the AI actually look at?
Three signals: the caption, the text burned into the video frames, and the spoken audio. It cross-references what it finds — names, neighborhoods, landmarks — to geocode each venue onto a real map coordinate.
What if the AI picks the wrong place?
Anyone in the trip can tap × on a wrong pin and search for the right one. The fix applies for the whole group instantly, and the extraction model takes the correction as a hint for next time.
Do my friends need the app installed to vote?
No. Share the trip invite link and they can see the map and vote from the browser. They'll want the app to paste their own reels — but nobody is ever blocked from having their say.
What happens to places nobody votes on?
They stay on the map as unvoted pins. Nothing gets silently dropped into your itinerary — only places that clear the group's vote make the plan.
