Privacy Policy

Blendit ("we," "our") turns the reels you save into shared trip maps your group can vote on. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We've written it to be readable — if anything is unclear, email privacy@blendit.app.
What we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address, and profile details when you create an account or join the early-access list.
- Content you share. Links to reels, TikToks, and posts you paste into a trip, plus the places, votes, and itinerary items that come from them.
- Trip data. The trips you create or join, who is in them, and the activity inside them (pins, votes, comments).
- Usage data. How you interact with the app and site — pages visited, features used, approximate device and browser information — used to improve the product.
What we do with it
- Run the core product: extracting places from the links you paste, syncing them to your group's map, and building itineraries from the group's votes.
- Send you product updates and your early-access invitation. We only email you about Blendit, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Improve extraction accuracy. Corrections you make (like fixing a wrong pin) may be used to make the model better for everyone.
- Keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
What we never do
- Sell your personal information. Full stop.
- Make your trip maps public. Trips are invite-only by default; only people with the link can see them.
- Read your group chats or contacts without your explicit action (such as choosing contacts to invite).
Third-party content
When you paste a link, we fetch that content from the platform it lives on (e.g., TikTok or Instagram) to extract place information. Your use of those platforms remains governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete a trip at any time, which removes its pins and votes. You can delete your account by emailing us — we'll remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep it.
Security
We use encryption in transit and at rest, and limit access to production data to the people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your group's plans is a responsibility we take seriously.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Email privacy@blendit.app and we'll honor those requests.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the current version.
